The farther one ventures offshore in Ha Long Bay, the more mesmerizing the scenery becomes. Verdant limestone karsts rise from emerald waters, forming landscapes that resemble living paintings which are ever-changing with each angle, each moment of the day, and each season of the year.

Earlier this August, we had the opportunity to visit Vung Vieng Fishing Village and Hang Co Cave, two idyllic stops along sightseeing route No. 4, one of Ha Long Bay’s offshore itineraries. 
This route has become especially popular among international travelers who choose to stay overnight on luxury cruise ships, combining world-class services with the chance to explore the bay’s more secluded and poetic wonders.
