Over 80% of the province is covered by verdant forests and highlands, while its marine area spans more than 6,100 square kilometers, dotted with islands, ancient forests, and cultural villages rich in character and craft.

This is home to two UNESCO-recognized heritage treasures: Ha Long Bay, or the legendary “Descending eragon,” and the Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son, Kiep Bac relic and scenic complex, a cradle of Vietnamese Buddhist heritage.

Building upon Vietnam’s National Tourism Product Development Strategy, Quang Ninh has launched ambitious initiatives to diversify its offerings, from the Ha Long – Van Don – Co To island cluster and sustainable community-based tourism, to the nighttime economy and tourism revival program 2023-2030.

Today, the province’s four flagship tourism experiences, including island and marine escapes, cultural-spiritual journeys, eco-community adventures, and border explorations, invite travelers to discover Quang Ninh in their own way: sailing among limestone karsts, trekking along forested ridges, savoring indigenous cuisine, or immersing themselves in the rhythms of local life.

Highland communes are embracing adventure and authenticity, turning untouched landscapes into immersive playgrounds. Visitors can trek the dramatic “Dinosaur spine” ridge, chase mist at Khe Van waterfall, or journey along the scenic border trails. For thrill-seekers, the Ha Long Balloon Company offers an unforgettable hot-air balloon flight, lifting travelers above the legendary bay for a panoramic view unlike any other.

Quang Ninh’s evolving tourism portfolio now spans 11 distinctive product groups, introducing innovative experiences that blend sport, science, and culture. New offerings such as paragliding, off-road racing, and ethnic cultural treks invite visitors to connect with the spirit of the Dao, Tay, and San Chi peoples  adding depth, diversity, and soul to every journey.

Festivals and events such as “Halo! Halo Fest”, “VuiFest Ha Long”, “Superfest”, and “Skywave Ha Long” have transformed Bai Chay and Sun Carnival Square into lively hubs of music, light, and culture, drawing thousands of visitors.

Together with the spectacular live performance “In search of the pearl”, the Yacht Street, and luxury resorts, Quang Ninh has been shaping a vibrant nighttime ecosystem where the sea, islands, forests, and borderlands converge in a symphony of experience and emotion.
