The World Cruise Awards, part of the prestigious global World Travel Awards system, has once again honored the Grand Pioneers cruise ship operated by Viet Thuan Transport Co., Ltd. as the World’s Best Green Cruise Line 2025. This marks the second consecutive year the company has received this esteemed recognition. 

Previously, Grand Pioneers was also named the World’s Best Green Cruise Line 2024 by the World Cruise Awards. The award is voted on by cruise industry experts as well as the global public and travelers, based on the highest standards in cruise tourism, celebrating brands that excel in innovation, sustainability, and service quality.

Earlier in 2025, Grand Pioneers was additionally recognized as the Best New Luxury Cruise Line in Vietnam by the Luxury Lifestyle Awards, an international award honoring premium brands in travel and lifestyle. It is also the first cruise line in Vietnam to receive this accolade, reaffirming the company’s sustainable development strategy through environmentally friendly cruise design and the creation of green, safe tourism products associated with protecting Ha Long Bay’s environment.

Grand Pioneers Cruise is newly built to the world’s most advanced shipbuilding standards. It features a state-of-the-art air conditioning system from Japan that uses seawater cooling, helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increasing energy efficiency by up to 40%. 

The main engines and generators, imported directly from Japan, meet strict emission standards to ensure safe and eco-friendly operation. Additionally, a cutting-edge wastewater treatment system from South Korea guarantees all wastewater is fully treated to environmental standards before being released.

Launched in 2024, Grand Pioneers Cruise operates heritage-themed journeys connecting Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. It has quickly become one of the most luxurious and highly rated cruise experiences on the world-renowned bay, winning the admiration of a large number of domestic and international travelers.
